Chris Papadopoulos (10 Week Essential Program)

The 10 Week Essential program commences with three weeks of intensive technique training. During this module students are introduced to the award-winning acting principles of the Howard Fine Acting Studio. Students learn how to access authentic emotions in performance, how to analyse a script and how to rehearse effectively. This module also deals with common mistakes and the fundamentals of the craft of acting.

Scene Study is the actors’ gym, it is the arena where we put into practice all of the techniques we have learnt.

In this module students will deepen their understanding of the technique, and develop self-critiquing skills.

Students work with a partner on assigned scenes from The Studio’s extensive play library of modern classics and esteemed works.

‘Auditioning’ focuses on empowering students to craft captivating auditions consistently.

With an emphasis on self-tape auditions, this unit aims to enhance and refine the student’s script analysis skills, character creation and emotional access in the high-pressure environment of the audition.

This part of the program further refines the students understanding of technique as they tackle challenging monologues.

With a particular focus on substantiating a character, finding personal connection and emotional authenticity, this course unit focuses heavily on the individual.

The Vocal Intensive program responds to the needs of actors to have a strong and powerful connection to their unique emotional sources, and uses vocal exercises to develop the actor’s ability to connect to text in performance.

Students will explore the application of emotional experiences when approaching their work, through personal story telling, song and spoken word, discovering ways to safely use their entire emotional range in performance.
